Art Direction
NFS World was an exercise in remastering NFS Most Wanted and NFS Carbon (both games I helped develop as an Environment Art Director) to enter the Free-To-Play market. The challenge was combining the two open world games into ONE, seamless open world. This included uprezzing materials, creating all new branding, replacing models with newer assets, improving vistas, setting a new signature look through post processing and developing a time of day cycle that would work with a persistent online world.
We did this with a very small art team and a lot of passion. Though free-to-play was still in its infancy, the project was great to work on. I was given a lot of freedom to drive all aspects of the development of the world and enhance the overall presentation.
